Autumn is the pannage season in the New Forest. In a practice dating back 1,000 years to the time of William the Conqueror, local Commoners release their pigs to eat the seasons acorn crop.. This print was inspired when was in the forest sketching something else then suddenly found myself surrounded by curious piglets wondering if I had food in my bag!
